TYPES OF ANGOLA VISA

There are many types of Angola visa but we just discuss some common Angola Visa below:

Business Visa

For people who visit Angola for business purposes

Tourist Visa

Tourist visas are issued for the pursuit of recreational activities, or participation in cultural and sporting events. Once again, it does not provide any rights associated with residence, nor to any commercial or paid activity.

Student Visa

This visa solution allows an international student who is enrolled or is going to enrol in an Angolan educational institution to study in the country during 1 year with a possibility to extend the visa for 1 year each time until the end of the course.

Work Visa

The long-term work visa enables a foreign technician or professional hired by a well-established Angolan company to work legally in the country during 1 year and enjoy multiple entries to Angola.

Residence Visa

Foreigners who have claimed for the full resident status can stay legally in Angola using the 120-day residence visa. It can be extended for another 120 days until the result about the resident status is known.

ANGOLA VISA REQUIREMENTS

Business Visa

  • One visa application form duly filled in and signed.
  • 1 passport sized photograph to be pasted in the space for photographs
  • original passport + 1 photocopy of pages first and last where personal details are mentioned
  • Invitation letter from Angola duly signed and stamped
  • Copy of tax document paid by the Angolan company – know as (DAR – Documento de Arrecadacao de Receitas-“Document pertaining to the collection of revenues”)
  • Copy of yellow fever vaccination
  • Copy of police clearance from the local Police Ptation
  • Draft for rs.5000/- payable at Delhi in the name of Embassy of the republic of Angola + 2 photocopies of the same with the name of the applicant and company written on the copies.
  • If more than one applicant is applying under the same company then one collective draft should be made.
  • Application form to be filled in capital letters with complete details

Tourist Visa

  • Completed and signed Visa Application Form
  • Letter or request from the visa applicant, addressed to the Consular and Diplomatic Mission of Angola (this letter must be notarized);
  • International certificate of vaccination;
  • Evidence of means of subsistence and accommodations;
  • One recent color passport-sized photo;
  • Original and photocopy of passport—the main pages and those containing information on migratory movements;
  • Photocopy of ticket to the Republic of Angola, with a return;
  • Guarantee of means of subsistence, equivalent to US $200, for each day of stay in national territory, under the terms of Article 19(1) of Law 2/07 of 31 August;
  • Copy of the hotel reservation with the official stamp from the hotel;
  • Payment of $141.00 (As of November 2, 2015, payments to the Consular Section should be by Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Only in exceptional cases will money orders be accepted. Processing fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application).

Student Visa

  • Visa Application Form, front and back, duly completed in print or typed, in black ink and signed by the applicant or requester;
  • Letter or request from the Requester or Beneficiary, addressed to the Consular and Diplomatic Mission of Angola;
  • Criminal Background Check, issued by the authorities of the country of origin or residence, translated and duly authenticated;
  • Medical certificate from the country of origin, translated and duly authenticated;
  • Proof of existence of means of subsistence;
  • Three recent, color passport-sized photos;
  • Original and photocopy of passport—the main pages and those containing information on migratory movements;
  • Statement pledging to respect Angolan laws;
  • Duly authenticated proof of enrollment in a learning institution or guarantee of attendance from said institution, if applicable;
  • Evidence, issued by the competent institution, of the awarding of an academic degree or recognition of the scientific interest of research work, if applicable;
  • Internship program or training contract, if applicable;
  • Proof of payment of the immigration act requested.

Work Visa

  • An employer initiates the visa application. A contracting company sends the Invitation Letter to the Angolan consulate (where the foreigner will submit their documents) and then claims for the working visa by sending the copy of this Invitation Letter to the Office of Migration and Foreigners. The copy must also include such data: the name, date of birth, occupation, nationality, passport’s number, and expiry date.
  • Ensure you hold a passport valid for no less than 1 year and it has 2 blank pages.
  • Make 3 copies of passport pages that contain any migration information or stamps.
  • Lodge 3 actual passport photographs.
  • Provide a criminal record (translate it into Portuguese).
  • Submit your vaccination card (with a record of the vaccination against yellow fever) issued by a relevant authority.
  • Undergo a medical at an accredited institution and submit a certificate that proves your good health.
  • Declare your commitment to obey local laws (in Portuguese).
  • Submit a full employment contract (in Portuguese) and include a cover letter.
  • Provide certificates that prove your qualifications (in Portuguese).
  • Submit your resumé (in Portuguese).
  • Fill in the application form (typed applications have stronger chances for approval than handwritten ones) and pay the relevant fee.

Residence Visa

  • Send a letter (in Portuguese) to the consulate explaining why the residency visa is needed.
  • Ensure you hold a passport with a validity of at least 9 months.
  • Make a photocopy of passport pages that contain stamps or migration information.
  • Submit 2 actual passport photographs.
  • Lodge a criminal record (in Portuguese).
  • Undergo a medical at an accredited institution and submit a certificate that proves your good health.
  • Submit your vaccination card (with a record of the vaccination against yellow fever) issued by a relevant authority.
  • Declare your commitment to obey local laws (in Portuguese).
  • Submit a document proving that you have sufficient means for staying in Angola.
  • Fill in the application form (typed applications have stronger chances for approval than handwritten ones) and pay the relevant fee.

HOW TO APPLY FOR AN ANGOLA VISA

The Angola visa fees may vary from R750 –R3000. Depend on the purpose of travel and length of stay you will have to pay different cost for your visa as following:

Transit Visa:   R750.

Tourist Visa:   R750.

Short Stay Visa: R1000
