If you plant to travel to Mexico, enjoying the country’s beautiful beaches, or exploring the rich history of Mexico City. But you don’t know whether you need a Mexico visa? These information will show you, what you need to do if you want to visit Mexico in 2020.

You do NOT need to apply for a visa before traveling to Mexico if you are belong to one of the following situations:

1)Mexico’s National Migration Institute allows nationals of the 67 countries and jurisdictions holding normal passports do not require a visa to enter Mexico as tourists, visitors in transit or business visitors. It mean that you will not need to apply for a visa in advance to visit Mexico if you are national of one of the visa exempt countries. This gives you 180 awesome days to explore Mexico. Any more than that, and you will need a tourist visa. Check out the 67 eligible visa-exempt countries here.

2) If you don’t hold a passport from one of the countries that don’t need a visa to visit Mexico but you do hold a permanent residency visa for the United States of America, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, or any country that is signatory to the European Schengen Area;

2a) If you don’t hold a passport from one of the countries that don’t need a visa to visit Mexico but you do hold a current, multiple-entry visitor visa for the United States of America, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, or any country that is signatory to the European Schengen Area;

3) You are a legal resident of Mexico (Residente Temporal or Residente Permanente – formerly FM3/FM2);

4) If you don’t qualify under 1, 2, or 3 above, but you do hold a current APEC/ABTC business traveler’s card with pre-clearance approved by Mexico.

If you are not belong to the any of above visa-exempt list. You must apply for a Mexico visa in advance to enter this country.
