Honduras is the second biggest and second most populous country in Central America. The country is bordered by Guatemala to the northwest, El Salvador to the south and Nicaragua to the southeast.

Visitors to Honduras must obtain a visa from one of the Honduran diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 3 months.

HONDURAS VISA EXEMPTION

REQUIREMENTS OF HONDURAS VISA

You should prepare the following documents when  you apply for a Honduras visa:

1- Fill out the application form;
2- Send your passport and a copy of the passport general information of the person
who apply
3- Send a clear copy of the US visa or Resident card;
4- Send one photo passport size front face;
5- Send a copy of the flight itinerary;
6- Send a Letter from your Employer or School
7- If you are requesting a Multiple Visa, please send a letter in which you explain
why you are requesting this type of Visa;
8- Send a copy of Bank reference;
9- If you are traveling on business, send a letter from your company, in which they
state that they will cover your expenses while you are in Honduras;
10- Send a money order for US$30.00 for each visa requested. Please make it
payable to the CONSULATE OF HONDURAS;
11- Send everything by express mail (DHL, UPS, FEDEX, USPS, AIRBORN, or
one of your choice)
12- Include a pre-paid envelope to return your passport
13- Send a phone number in order to contact you if we need it

Us citizens in posession of a valid u.s. Pasport do not need a visa for tourist or business travel for a stay of up to 90 days

Visa requirements for non us citizens with each type:

Honduras Tourist Visa

  • Valid passport with 6 months validity remaining
  • 1-visa application form, fully completed and signed
  • 1-passport type photograph
  • A copy of the Green Card or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
  • Proof of financial support
  • Onward/return tickets or confirmed itinerary

Honduras Business Visa

  • Valid passport with 6 months validity remaining
  • 1-visa application form, fully completed and signed
  • 1-passport type photograph
  • A copy of the Green Card or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
  • A letter from the company in the U.S.(on company letterhead) stating the purpose and duration of the trip and guaranteeing financial support for the applicant during the intended stay in Honduras
  • A letter of invitation from the host company in Honduras

HOW TO APPLY FOR HONDURAS VISA

Step 1: Gather documents

Make a check list of the documents that you need to submit along with your application form. Gather all the documents and keep them ready for submission.

Step 2: Submit visa application

Submit your completed visa application form in person or through a representative or travel agent at the Honduras Embassy or Consulate nearest to you, along with all the required documentation.

Step 3: Collect your visa

After your visa is issued you will be notified about it. Collect your visa on time.
