Korea Tourist Visa – Visa Help

People who wants to visit the Republic of Korea or South Korea as a tourist needs to obtain a tourist visa. This visa allows visitor to enter South Korea for the purpose of sightseeing, visiting friends and relatives, or attending conferences, cultural events, artistic events or religious ceremony. You can not work with this visa.

REQUIREMENT OF SOUTH KOREA TOURIST VISA

To apply for a Korea Tourist visa, you should collect and prepare the following documents:

General documents:

Completed visa application form

A Passport-size, colored, white background photo

A valid passport for more than 6 months from your target travel date.

Photocopy of the passport bio page

If invited by a Korean, you must provide an invitation letter, a copy of invitor’s passport.

Additional documents

For employees:

Certificate of Employment. Must be original; and must have the address of the employer, the landline number and email address of employer’s HR department, applicant’s position, date hired, and compensation. Mobile number is not allowed.
Original Personal Bank Certificate. Must include account type, current balance, account opening date, ADB.
Original or certified true copy of bank statements/passbook covering the last 3 months.
Income Tax Return

For Self-Employed

Photocopy of Business registration
Photocopy of Business permit or Mayor’s permit
Photocopy of Income Tax Return
Original Personal Bank Certificate.

For Students

Original School Certificate
Photocopy of School ID
Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate of applicant

For Retired Senior Citizens

Original Personal Bank Certificate. Must include account type, current balance, account opening date, ADB.
Original or certified true copy of bank statements/passbook covering the last 3 months.
Copy of Senior Citizen ID

HOW TO APPLY FOR A KOREA TOURIST VISA

Step 1: Complete all the requirements.

Make sure you have gathered all the requirements listed above.

Step 2: Submit the documents.

Now that you have all the required documents, it’s time to find an officially designated travel agency.

Step 3: Pay required visa application fee

Pay the applicable fee for your visa application at the time of submitting your application form.

Step 4: Collect your visa

After your visa is issued, you will be notified regarding the issuance. Collect your visa on time.

VALIDITY OF SOUTH KOREA TOURIST VISA

This is a single visa and valid 3 months from the date of its issued.

Single-entry (up to 90 days): US$30.

Single-entry (more than 90 days): US$50.

Multiple-entry: US$80.
