Lebanon is a small country (10,452km² in area) with 3.7 million inhabitants) within the Middle East region with its capital being Beirut. The visa policy of Lebanon deals with the requirements which a foreign national wishing to enter the Republic of Lebanon must meet to be permitted to travel to, enter and remain in the country.
Visitors to the Republic of Lebanon must obtain a visa from one of the Diplomatic missions of the Republic of Lebanon unless they come from one of the 7 visa-exempt countries and territories or one of the 79 other countries and territories whose citizens are eligible for a visa on arrival.
Citizens of these following countries can visit Lebanon without a visa for 3 months within 1 year.
Except for a residency visa, there are different types of visas in Lebanon:
Most European and American (both North and South) citizens (see list below) will be granted a one month tourist visa upon their arrival at the border of Lebanon.
If you are traveling in a group consisting of a minimum of eight people you are eligible to apply for a collective/group tourist visa.
If you are either a student, married to a Lebanese citizen (for more than a year), have a work permit or a lot of money in the bank you are eligible to apply for a temporary (one year) or permanent (three years) residency.
To obtain a work permit your employer need to present your application to the General Security. Before doing so he or she needs to get a pre-approval from the Labor Ministry.
If you are a student at a university in Lebanon you might apply for a one year student residency permit, given that you did not enter with a working visa.

Before you apply for Lebanon visa, you should check the processing time required for the visa to be issued. When you are aware of all the details regarding the application process, you can go ahead with the following steps:
Make a check list of the documents that you need to submit along with your application form. Gather all the documents and keep them ready for submission.
Submit your completed visa application form at the Lebanese Diplomatic Mission in your country of residence, gather with all the required documentation. Pay the applicable fee for your visa application at the time of submitting your application form.
After your visa is issued collect it on time
Visitor and Business: £25 (single-entry); £50 (multiple-entry).
Transit (available at the border): US$16.
Visa on arrival: one month initialy, renewable for three months
Single-entry visa in advance: 15 days, one month or three months;
Multiple-entry visa in advance: three or six months.
If applying for a visa in advance from the embassy , you must enter Lebanon within 90 days of the date of issue.
