TYPES OF NIGERIA VISA

There are main types of Nigerian visas depending on the purpose of stay:

Visitors, Tourists and Transit Visas

Business / Education / Religious Visas

Temporary Work Permit (TWP)

Subject to Regularization (STR)

NIGERIA VISA REQUIREMENTS

Requirements of Visitors, Tourists and Transit Visas:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Completed visa application form
  • Two recent passport size photographs
  • A Letter of Invitation from a company/host in Nigeria accepting immigration responsibility
  • Visitors/Tourists are required to show evidence of sufficient funds
  • Nigeria Immigration Service Visa Payment Receipt and Visa Acknowledgement Receipt

Requirements of Business / Education / Religious Visas:

  • If going for business, letters of invitation from companies or business organizations stating the reason must be submitted
  • If going for religious purpose, approval from the ministry of internal affairs, Abuja, Nigeria must be submitted.
  • If going for educational visit, a letter of invitation from the host university of school stating its purpose must be submitted
  • If a student, you must submit a copy of your identification card, with an accompanying letter from your institution.

Temporary Work Permit (TWP)

  1. Passport with at least 6 months validity
  2. Printed copy of completed application form for visitors pass
  3. Two recent passport size photographs
  4. Copy of the Letter of Approval from Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service

Subject To Regularization (Str)

  • Valid passport (at least 6 months to expiration)
  • Completed application forms in quadruplicate
  • Four recent passport photographs showing full face with white background.
  • Four certified copies of expatriate quota approval from Nigeria or approval from Nigeria for STR
  • Four certified copies of all credentials, résumé’s and certificates, were applicable.
  • Four copies of Letters of employment
  • Four copies of Letters of acceptance
  • All of the above should be submitted in four sets, not separately.

Step 3: Receive your visa stamp.
