Poland is one of the larger countries in Central Europe. It has a long Baltic Sea coastline and is bordered by Belarus, the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Russia (the Kaliningrad Oblast exclave), Slovakia, and Ukraine.

TYPES OF POLAND VISA

As Poland is a member of Schengen Agreement, nearlly all countries of EU don’t need a visa to enter Poland. If you are not citizen of EU countries, you must apply one of the following visas:

Visa for cultural activities, sports or film crew – This is a special visa given to applicants who want to travel to Sweden to participate in cultural, film or sporting events.

Student visa

Student visa – applicants who are intending to undertaking a recognised course of study in Sweden should apply for Student visa.

Transit visa

Transit visa –a transit visa is required if there is a scheduled layover of a few hours in Sweden before heading to your destination.

Official visit visa 

Official visit visa – If your travel is related to attending intergovernmental meetings, consultations, negotiations or events, you will need to apply for a special official visit visa.

POLAND VISA REQUIREMENTS

General required documents for Poland Schengen visas:

  • Download the Polish Visa application form, fill it completely and with sincerity.
  • 2 photos must be attached; the photo should be of passport format – a recent whole-face capture with a light background.
  • Your passport and copies of your previous visas
  • Travel medical insurance confirmation.
  • A cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Poland and itinerary
  • Flight air ticket reservation
  • Hotel Booking Reservation
  • Proof of civil status
  • Means of subsistence

Depending on the purpose and duration of the trip, some additional documents may be required.

A certificate from your employer stating/allowing your business travel

Memorandum and Article of Association in original certified copy (registered with joint stock companies) Trade License (first issued and present renewal), Proprietorship/Partnership documents

Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in the Schengen zone, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.

Poland Visa for Medical Purposes:

A local medical report

A medical attestation from the hospital or doctor in Poland, confirming the date of your appointment as well as your medical situation

Payment receipt of medical fees

Poland Visa for Cultural, Sports, Film Crew or Religious Purposes:

Invitation letter from the above-mentioned authorities with details upon the nature of events or activities – purpose of visit , expense coverage

Names of the applicants (crew members)

HOW TO APPLY FOR A POLAND VISA

To apply for a Poland visa, you may consider the following steps to submit your visa application to the nearest Poland embassy or consulate:

Step 1: Gather documents

Step 2: Submit visa application

After your visa is issued you will be notified about it. Collect your visa on time.

VISA PROCESSING TIME

According to the Schengen Visa Code the processing time can take up to 14 working days. In some exceptional cases the processing time can be prolonged up to 30 days.
