Sudan is a country in Northeast Africa. It  is the third largest country in Africa and sixteenth largest in the world, bordering Egypt, Eritrea, Central African Republic, Chad, Ethiopia, Libya, and South Sudan.

Visitors to Sudan must obtain a visa from one of the Sudanese diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.

SUDAN VISA EXEMPTION

Citizens of the following countries can visit Sudan without a visa:
Egypt, Kuwait, UAE & Yemen
For stays of up to 1 month to nationals of: Qatar and Syria.

Nationals of the following countries can access Sudan visa free if they hold an invitation: Benin, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Cote D’Ivoire, Djibouti, Eritrea, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Somalia, Togo & Tunisia.

TYPES OF SUDAN VISA

There are three common types of Sudan visa:

Business visa

A business visa is given to those who are planning to visit Gambia for engaging in temporary work or business.

Tourist visa

This type of visa is issued for the travelers who come to Sudan for tourism purposes.

REQUIREMENTS OF SUDAN VISA

Touris and business visa requirements

  • One completed South Sudan visa application
  • Two passport type photos
  • Physical passport with 6 months validity beyond trip completion and one blank visa page
  • An invititation from host in South Sudan is now required.
  • One copy of flight itinerary
  • Company business letter
  • If tourist – copy of hotel confirmation and bank statement

Student visa requirements

1.Valid passport

2.Previous academic qualifications documents

3.Recent passport size photo

4.Covering letter from school to immigration department

5.Admission letter from enrolling School / Tertiary Institutions / University in Sudan;

6.Payment receipt

HOW TO APPLY FOR A SUDAN VISA

You can apply for a Sudan visa by simply follow these basic steps:

Step 1: Gather documents

Make a check list of the documents that you need to submit along with your application form. Gather all the documents and keep them ready for submission.

Step 2: Sumit visa application

Submit your completed visa application form in person or through a representative or travel agent at the Sudan Embassy or Consulate nearest to you, along with all the required documentation. Pay the applicable fee for your visa application at the time of submitting your application form.

Step 3: Collect your visa

After your visa is issued you will be notified about it. Collect your visa on time.
