E-visa

Thailand plans to introduce electronic visas in 2018. The Thai Government have announced that the electronic visa for Thailand will be available before the end of 2018. Citizens from France, the UK, the UAE and China will be able to process their travel visas for Thailand online.

Visa exemption for normal passports

90 days (5 nations)

The governments of the following countries have concluded bilateral visa waiver agreements with Thailand. Holders of normal passports from these countries are allowed to travel to Thailand without a visa for 90 days: Argentina,  Brazil, Chile, South Korea,  Peru.

30 days waiver (6 nations)

Holders of normal passports issued by these countries which have bilateral agreements on visa waivers with Thailand are allowed to stay up to 30 days:  Hong Kong,  Laos,  Macao, Mongolia, Russia, Vietnam.

30 days exemption (51 nations)

Holders of normal passports of the following countries are granted visa-free travel to Thailand for a period of up to 30 days. The exemption is granted at most twice in a calendar year when entering overland or via a sea border but there is no limitation when entering by air.

THAI VISA TYPES

• Type B: to conduct business; work; attend business conferences; teach school; attend scuba diving, muay Thai, and massage courses
• Type D: diplomatic visa
• Type ED: to study; to come on a work study tour or observation tour; to participate in projects or seminars; to attend a conference or training course; to study as a foreign Buddhist monk
• Type EX: to undertake skilled work or to work as an expert or specialist
• Type F: to perform official duties, e.g., military exercises or governmental assignments
• Type IB: to invest or perform other activities relating to investment, subject to the provision of the established laws on investment promotion
• Type IM: to invest with the concurrence of the Thai ministries and governmental departments concerned
• Type M: to work as a film-producer, journalist, or reporter with permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Type O: to visit family; to perform duties for a state enterprise or social welfare organizations (NGOs); to receive medical treatment; to be a sports coach as required by the Thai government; to be a contestant; to be a witness in a judicial process
• Type O-A: retirement visa
• Type R: to perform missionary work or other religious activities with the concurrence of the Thai ministries or government departments concerned
• Type RS: to conduct scientific research or training or teaching in a research institute
• Type S:to participate in an officially recognised sports event.

REQUIREMENT OF VISA APPLICATION

1. Completed visa application form (3 COPIES)

(The Embassy does not provide any form filling services. If anyone should make such claim for an exchange of fee or gratuity, please inform the Embassy immediately at +221 33 869 32 90.)

2. A valid passport (must have at least 6 months validity and at least 3 empty pages)
3. A photocopy of personal information page(s) of the passport (3 COPIES)
4. 3 (Three) passport size photos (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) white background, without wearing glasses or headgear, taken within 6 months (a photocopy or poor quality photos will not be accepted)
5. A photocopy of CONFIRMED RETURN TICKET (“confirmed reservation” will not be accepted.)
6. A photocopy of CONFIRMED BOOKING OF ACCOMMODATION (“confirmed reservation” will not be accepted.)
7. A photocopy of Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate issued by reputable local hospitals and clinics
8. For Senegalese Nationals :

          – A photocopy of Senegalese National Identification Card

9. For Residents of Senegal, Residents and/or Nationals of

          (1) Burkina Faso (2) Cabo Verde (3) Côte d’ Ivoire (4) Gabon (5) Gambia (6) Guinea

          (7) Guinea Bissau (8) Liberia (9) Mali (10) Niger (11) Sierra Leone (12) Togo

          – A photocopy of valid residence permit.

          – A photocopy of proof of residence ie. Driving License …

10. A certified bank balance / recent bank statement (updated within 15 days) showing transaction with current balance no less than usd 1,000.- equivalent or cfa 550,000.-
11. The Thai Immigration officers may request the traveler(s) to provide financial proof as means of living in Thailand IN CASH. For tourist visa/transit visa/visa on arrival – at least 10,000.- Baht/person or USD 350 and at least 20,000.- Baht/family or USD 700. For business visa – at least 20,000.- Baht/person or USD 700 and at least 40,000.- Baht/family or USD 1,400.

Employment Visa

Single Entry only – Fee 35,000 CFA

 Education Visa (Private School/Institute)
