Tajikistan Visa

ajikistan is a landlocked country in Central Asia that borders Afghanistan to the south, Xinjiang in China to the east, Kyrgyzstan to the north, and Uzbekistan to the west and northwest.
Visitors to Tajikistan must obtain a visa from one of the Tajikistan diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries or countries whose citizens are eligible for an electronic visa or (at Dushanbe airport) a visa on arrival.
Nationals from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Jordan, Russia and Ukraine do not need a visa for visits up to 90 days.
TYPES OF TAJIKISTAN VISA
There are many types of Tajikistan visa, below are some common types:
This visa is issued to foreign citizens traveling to the Republic of Tajikistan as a tourist or a group of foreign citizens who are going to Tajikistan for the purpose of tourism in organized group (not less than 5 but no more than 50 persons in a group).
This visa is issued to foreign citizens who are going to the Republic of Tajikistan for work, including according to international contracts and agreements; members of families of the above-listed persons.
This visa is issued to foreign citizens who are going to Tajikistan with the business purposes ( participation in business negotiations, at meetings, symposiums, forums, conferences, tenders, the conclusion of contracts, creation of joint ventures, studying of Tajik market, participation in auctions, exhibitions and fairs, rendering of advisory and auditor services and so forth).
This visa is issued to the following applicants:
-heads of world famous foreign firms and companies going to Tajikistan and also being in the Republic of Tajikistan, who de-facto participate in investment of economy of Tajikistan;
-representatives of administrative wing of the large foreign firms and the companies working in the Tajikistan market or having practicable plans on developing business projects;
-members of families of the above-listed persons.
This visa is issued to:
-head of State and Governments of the foreign countries;
-members of official foreign delegations
This visa is issued to the following applicants:
-members of official foreign delegations;
-administrative-technical and attendants employees of diplomatic representatives
This visa is issued to the following applicants:
-foreign citizens who are studying in the educational institutes of the Republic of Tajikistan;
-post-graduate students;
-persons who are working for the doctoral degree;
-members of families of the above-listed persons.
Learning (training) visa (O-2) is issued to the following applicants:
-foreign citizens who are going to Tajikistan for studying, on an educational practice or training;
-persons who are going to Tajikistan to enter educational institutes of the Republic of Tajikistan;
-persons who are going to Tajikistan to temporarily attend the language learning courses;
-members of families of the abo-listed persons.
TAJIKISTAN VISA REQUIREMENT
If your country of residence is not included in exempt countries, you can obtain visa to Tajikistan in any country where there is an embassy or the consulate of the Republic of Tajikistan. The list of documents, as well as amount of consular fees may differ depending on the citizenship of the applicant and the point of visa issue. Application fee starts from 25 USD. Standard documents package for Tajik visa include:
- Visa support (invitation);
- Valid passport with 2 clear pages for visa and entry/exit stamps. Six months validity rule is imposed.
- Visa application* in 2 copies;
- Colorful photo (3,5 x 4,5);
- Receipt on payment of state duty and consular fee;
(!) If you plan to visit Gorno-Badakhsan Autonomous region a.k.a Pamir region, you should submit a letter requesting a permit.
HOW TO APPLY FOR TAJIKISTAN VISA
